Help Solve a Medical Mystery

Sonja Stephen

Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) is a malfunction of the nervous system resulting in the brain being unable to send and recieve messages properly. The exact cause is unkown with symptoms often appearing suddenly and progressing rapidly. FND is a very common condition that is often misdiagnosed and poorly treated. Very little research has been done and it is urgently needed.

I have a personal interest in fundraising for collaborative research of FND. The ongoing suffering and frequently debilitating outcomes for patients with FND could be improved by a better understanding of this disorder and consistent treatment guidelines.

Your generous donation will enable a team of researchers, doctors and other health care professionals at Westmead Hospital to conduct potentially life changing research. Together we can help to solve the puzzle and give hope to those suffering from Functional Neurological Disorder.
