We have been abundantly blessed with the most wonderful families, amazing friends, good healtth and everything else that we could hope for. On this happy occasion celebrating our son's 5th birthday, we couldn't ask for more than your blessings for him. If you still wish to give a gift, we would love for you to donate to the Neonatal ICU at the Westmead Hospital.
Nirvaan is our little miracle boy! When I had my inital scans, the doctors said he would enter this bright and beautiful world on the 13th of February '11.... but he couldn't wait that long! On the 18th of December '10, exactly a week after the baby shower, I was taken into emergency c-section delivery. He was born 8 weeks premature at 3.49pm on Saturday, 18th December 5 years ago weighing only 1.354 kilograms and 54 centimeters long.
We were so nervous and uncertain of all that was to come. It was an emotional and stressful time. With the tremendous support of the doctors and nurses at NICU, we got through the difficult time. Nirvaan had amazing care, well beyond our imagination or expectations. Not only do they do the most amazing and rewarding job of saving little lives, but they also do a beautiful job of supporting 'premmie parents' through this emotional rollercoaster. They are the real life superheros of our community.
Please help in any way you can. Your donations could mean access to better equipment, better medication, advanced research and so much more.... These are some examples of how our funds could be used....
